Client Services Manager 

We are currently recruiting a Client Services Manager ( 12 month contract )for our Didcot office. The successful candidate will demonstrate an eagerness to learn and have a flexible approach to their work. 


Within a team, you will have the following responsibilities:

Ÿ  Manage a portfolio of clients, acting as the main point of contact, providing advice, resolving queries, and building long-term trusted relationships

Ÿ  Review work prepared by client services team, giving constructive feedback and ensuring technical accuracy

Ÿ  Monitor deadlines for VAT, Companies House, and HMRC submissions, ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements.

Ÿ  Oversee workflow management, allocating tasks across the team to meet client and practice deadlines.

Ÿ  Lead, mentor, and develop team members through regular one-to-ones, objective setting, coaching, and technical training.

Ÿ  Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and client service, recommending new processes, technology, or service offerings.

Ÿ  Support Senior Manager with business development, client onboarding, and practice growth initiatives.


Your skills:

Ÿ  ACA / ACCA / CAI qualified 

Ÿ  At least 6 years’ experience with a minimum of 3 years post-qualification within a UK accountancy practice, managing a client portfolio.

Ÿ  Proven technical expertise in accounting and bookkeeping processes, with strong knowledge of FRS 102. Experience with LLP SORP and IFRS would be advantageous.

Ÿ  Experience reviewing statutory accounts, VAT returns, and management accounts.

Ÿ  Strong leadership and team management skills, including mentoring, motivating, and supporting staff.

Ÿ  Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Ÿ  Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to build trusted client relationships and resolve technical or service-related issue.

Ÿ  Commercial awareness and the ability to identify opportunities to enhance client service.

Ÿ  Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Office.
